Bird Collage, Acrylic Painting

Here is a painting I created from a collection of my photos. It features a Great Egret, Blue Heron, 2 Wild Turkeys and Viceroy Butterflies. The photos I based this painting on were taken in September 2019.
Here is the sketch I started from. I originally wanted to do something with lettering and just as a practice piece for myself. So I put the date that I saw these creatures.

This version of the painting was taken at 4.5 hours into the painting process. I covered over my lettering and decided to just go with images.

Here is the second version of the painting, you can see I added more texture to the Wild Turkeys and worked on the rock as well as the reflective water behind the Blue Heron.

Animal Collage, Version 2

In this version of the painting, you can see that I worked on the Viceroy Butterflies and Asters, as well as the Egret and Wild Turkeys. This was taken 11 hours into the painting process.

Here is the final version of the painting, This painting took a total of 14 hours. You can see I added more dark colours behind the rock as well as Green Gold  and Sap Green to the water near the Heron. Overall I am very satisfied with this painting, and think that it turned out well.
