Pointillism

Here is my collection of pointillism paintings. I use mostly Acrylic Paint, but have also used Sharpie Markers in the past. In 2016, I won an Honourable Mention at a local art show for one of my pointillist paintings “The Blue Waters of April”

I plan on producing more pointillism paintings this year. They take an average of 20 hours to complete. The biggest challenge with this type of painting is mixing the colours that make up a colour. For example, in a blue sky you might have blue, magenta, cyan, aqua and grey etc. All these colours blend together in the eye to create the colour effect.

  1. Really nice collection of work Shawn. I can see why you won a mention with the lake painting and I like the subtle changes in the zebra. Frame them all and have an exhibition somewhere.
