Quick Sketches January 17th 2019

Here are some quick sketches from Fall and Winter 2019. These were all done in small 5.5″x8″ and 8″x10″ sketchbooks. Since the weather has gotten cold and it is now the most bitter part of the winter, I was unable to do any sketching outdoors. But I treated these a lot like Plien Aire, with the benefit of the studio. I did 2 spontaneous paintings in watercolour, as well as 2 deer from a photo I took in 2014. There’s also 1 acrylic painting of a school house bell that was also done from a photo. For the pastel ones, I was very satisfied with the October Sumac, and Woodlands Picnic sketches.

I hope you enjoy!
